A second Trump administration could trigger profound shifts in global political and economic order, accelerating de-globalization, protectionism, the decline of free trade, and the retreat of multilateralism. This would also heighten China-U.S. strategic competition, amplify geopolitical risks, and reshape conflicts around the world. Such uncertainty is expected to have a significant impact on Asia’s sustainable growth and regional cooperation.

Given these potential developments, BFA must engage in broad and in-depth discussions to assess the implications of a second Trump administration and formulate strategic responses. Understanding and preparing for these changes will be critical for the region’s long-term stability and prosperity.
